Meet the Founder of the Foundry

Rodney P. Davis is the founder of RPD Creative Foundry — a studio built on the belief that strategy, vision, and impact are not accidents. They’re forged.

For more than twenty years, Rodney has served as a strategic communicator, creative director, and community builder across some of Rhode Island’s most influential movements and mission-driven organizations. His career has taken him from designing national storytelling platforms at Big Picture Learning, to shaping equity-driven narratives at United Way of Rhode Island, to designing experiences that elevate Rhode Island Pride’s role in the LGBTQIA+ movement, and advancing the historic Providence Municipal Reparations Commission in conjunction with the African American Ambassadors Group.

Rodney’s work has always lived at the intersection of purpose and possibility: helping people find their voice, helping organizations find their clarity, and helping communities find their power.

A lifelong Rhode Islander and shaped by decades of advocacy, design, cultural leadership, and lived experience, Rodney brings a rare blend of creativity, executive-level strategy, and community-centered insight to every engagement. He has directed high-profile public events, guided organizational rebranding, developed policy-shifting narrative frameworks, and built spaces where people feel seen, valued, and connected.

RPD Creative Foundry was born from all of this — from a life dedicated to story, equity, and transformation. It exists to help leaders and organizations articulate their mission, activate their vision, and create experiences with lasting impact.

Rodney doesn't just create the work.

He forges it — with intention, clarity, and heart.
